A Forword

I was a late-comer to electronic made music, and my first encounter was when I had to move on from using multi-track tape recording. The shock was that going digital was going to be a bigger step as I anticipated - it was more like learning a completely new instrument and gained a new respect for musicians working with it, even if the results were not to my own taste. And I didn't do well with it for sometime. Now I am trying again.

I want to use this space to explain some of the things I find too long post in the forums I get involved with. What else, I have not decided yet - it may just be whatever comes to mind.

For context I feel I should make it clear that the hardware and software I am using is modest and limited. At present the instruments I am spending most time with are the Teenage Engineering EP-133, the Polyend Play Plus, the Roland S-1 Tweak Synth and prior to that I was doing things (and learning a lot) from trying to get the best I could out of the Artiphon Orba 2 and Chorda (I still am). So I may not be as aware of what can be done on the multifarious other devices around though I feel a have some idea because I researched what I might acquire before I spent my money.
